Graduate Archaeological Geophysics Scheme

Start Your Career in Commercial Archaeology

Our Graduate Archaeological Geophysics Scheme is a structured, 9-month Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) approved programme designed to develop recent graduates into confident, capable Assistant Archaeological Geophysicists. The programme is aligned with the National Occupational Standards and is designed to support progression towards Practitioner-grade CIfA membership, helping graduates build a strong foundation for long-term professional development.

At Magnitude Surveys, we combine hands-on field experience with structured technical training, giving graduates the opportunity to build real commercial geophysics skills while working alongside experienced professionals across the UK. As part of a work-based programme, graduates are employed throughout, earning a competitive industry salary while learning and developing in a real-world environment.

By the end of the programme, graduates will have the practical experience, technical knowledge, and professional behaviours needed to progress within the commercial archaeological sector, with the potential to move into permanent roles within the business.
