Jobs may range from less than a hectare, to in excess of 1000ha in size.<\/p>\n<p>Survey types include magnetometry, electromagnetics, ground penetrating radar &amp; others for both heritage and non-heritage purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Geophysical Project Officers report to their Line Manager and the Programme Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that Project Officers are expected to occasionally do site visits or fieldwork but is on an ad hoc basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for delivering projects\u202fwithin budget and\u202fwithin agreed timescales, acting as\u202fa\u202fmain point of contact\u202ffor\u202fclients,\u202fonce\u202fprojects\u202fare\u202fcommissioned.<\/li>\n<li>Managing multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of the project lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing project set-up tasks such as\u202fRAMS\/WSI production,\u202fliaising with clients, contacting landowners\u202for land access teams to\u202farrange\u202faccess, booking appropriate\u202faccommodation.<\/li>\n<li>Assessing\u202findividual project\u202fsurvey schedules\u202fto fit\u202fwithin the\u202fwider Projects Team schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Managing field teams and ensuring fieldwork is undertaken to a high standard, as well\u202fas\u202fproviding updates to\u202fthe\u202fclient.<\/li>\n<li>Managing report\u202fauthors\u202fand ensuring reports are written to a high standard, keeping the client updated with progress when required.<\/li>\n<li>Providing Quality Assurance for\u202fgeophysical survey\u202fdata, site documents\u202fand\u202freports\u202fto high technical\u202fand written standards.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring project metrics\u202fare kept accurate and up to date within\u202fcompany software.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for archiving data\/reports, following any specific requirements where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>General office tasks such as\u202freport writing,\u202finterpretation, but with a focus\u202fon\u202fQA and training\u202fjunior members of staff.<\/li>\n<li>Limited fieldwork\u202fad hoc, if required, for specialist projects.
