Morgan graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Geophysical Sciences in 2018 and an MSc in Exploration Geophysics in 2019. Due to a certain global event, Morgan spent two years working a part-time job, during which time he ran a hobby business designing and building guitar effects units. By the time he started at Magnitude as an Assistant Archaeological Geophysicist, Morgan was equipped with the electronics experience to quickly repair, build, and design new equipment, earning him a position as Workshop Supervisor.
During his time with the company, Morgan has led numerous electronics design projects, including new versions of the datalogger control unit, custom battery protection circuits, and, most recently, designing a new datalogger motherboard. He also helps write and maintain the processing codebase.
In his free time, Morgan enjoys building electronics and software projects in his home workshop, climbing and playing guitar.
