Graeme began working in Archaeological Geophysics alongside field excavation and archaeological monitoring in 2004 with Archaeological Services at Durham University. In 2008 he left to complete a Masters in Archaeological Prospection at the University of Bradford, while working part-time for GSB Prospection Ltd. This naturally led to full-time work with GSB until 2015 when he left to set up Magnitude Surveys alongside Chrys and Finn.

At the end of 2018 Graeme took a career break to improve his health and spend time with his young family, returning to Archaeology as a Senior Heritage and Archaeology Consultant in 2024 after a period working on the railways. The lure of archaeological geophysics proved too strong, and in 2025 Graeme returned to Magnitude as Quality and Compliance Manager, bringing his decades of experience back to the company he feels proud to have helped establish.

In his spare time Graeme enjoys acting the fool with his two boys and playing (sorry helping) with their Lego. He enjoys camping and hiking and watching F1 or football on the rainy cold days.
