Michael graduated from Colorado University at Boulder with BA degrees in geography and Classics, and a minor in Geology. He went on to obtain an MSc in Bioarchaeology from Durham University in 2019 specialising in ancient agricultural landscape management. Michael has worked in archaeology professionally as an excavator and in non-intrusive geophysical prospection as well as volunteering on academic projects in the Mediterranean and Central Asia.  Outside of work Michael enjoys hiking and playing classical guitar.
